Past Seasons

History of Interface

Interface began in 1977 as a small luncheon discussion group of Boulder Psychiatric Institute (BPI) staff members who were intrigued with the interface of spirituality and psychotherapy. Interest in the group increased over the years. Dedicated volunteers continued to put together a stimulating variety of inspiring presentations.  Guest speakers came to share their personal stories, their passions and their professional expertise.

Interface held it’s monthly program meetings in a variety of locations over the decades. Most memorable was at the Flatiron’s Conference room at Boulder Community Hospital’s Mapleton Center. Other locations include: the Boulder Jewish Community Center, Naropa University, Mental Health Partners, Best Western Conference Center, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Frasier Meadows, Centenial Peaks Hospital, the Broker Inn Hotel, and Boulder Psychiatric Institute.

During the Covid period from 2020 through 2021, Interface discontinued meeting in person and instead turned to online video presentations on Zoom. Recordings of those programs are available for viewing on the Interface YouTube Channel HERE.
