About The Presentation
I will explore gender from the existential perspective of “bad faith”, and from the Buddhist perspective of “grasping”. How identity plays a role in our objectifying ourselves and others. The ways in which the identities we choose interferes with all of our relationships, including professional.
About the Presenter
Robyn Chauvin, MA, LPC is a primary trainer at The Boulder Psychotherapy Institute. She is also on the Board of Directors of Queer Asterisk https://queerasterisk.com. She previously was an instructor at the Graduate School of Psychology at Naropa University. A Licensed Professional Counselor, Robyn has 27 years experience in hospice, inpatient psychiatric care and private practice psychotherapy working with individuals, couples, and groups. Robyn’s approach and methodologies include Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP), Gestalt, Transpersonal, and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. Of particular interest is working towards authentic connection with ourselves in the world.
