The Spirituality of Illness: Finding Meaning in the Midst of Suffering
Nancy Trottner, R.N., M.A., Sacred Works

Interface Host: Barry Erdman

About the Presentation:
The experience of being seriously or chronically ill impacts us in multiple ways. Our relationships, or priorities, our beliefs all begin to be called into question. Such a time is often a turning point. It can become an opportunity to live more deeply and rediscover our soul’s purpose.

About the Presenter:
Nancy Trottner, RN, MA, is a psychotherapist, spiritual director, Reiki practitioner and dream worker with expertise as both a hospice nurse and a hospice chaplain. She has worked in pastoral care settings, private practice and sees her work as “spiritual midwifery”, helping to birth one’s interior life in new and creative ways. She is currently working as a hospice chaplain for Compassionate Hospice Care and in private practice doing dream work, spiritual direction and psychotherapy.
