About the Presentation
Martin Buber tells us that human existence may be defined by the way in which we engage in “dialogue” with each other, with the world, and with God. He spoke of the “sacred space” that develops when one is in true connection with another human being.
These concepts form the basis of “Couplehood as a Spiritual Path”, an educational program for couples developed by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D. Based on “Imago” principles, this program seeks to help couples deepen their intimate connection, and learn how to use their relationship as a path toward personal and spiritual growth and healing. Through lecture, discussion, and personal sharing, we will explore how to bring these concepts into our own relationships, as well as to those with whom we work.
In this presentation, I will discuss this program, and how it might be useful for therapists, clergy, and others who might be working with couples.
